Social Responsibility
The ProfessionalsTM family take our social responsibilities within the community very seriously. We care for our members, our clients and the wider community as they are as much a part of our lives as we are a part of theirs.
Our Group has committed itself to two organisations namely the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia and the Child Cancer Foundation in New Zealand. Over the years we have raised millions of dollars for these fantastic organisations and will continue our special relationship with them.
National Breast Cancer Foundation strives to fund the latest research into developing a cure for breast cancer. ProfessionalsTM and NBCF have formed a Diamond Partnership, with a financial fundraising commitment being pledged annually.
Right across Australia fundraising continues throughout the year with charity events and auctions at both a national and local office level. ProfessionalsTM offices donate a portion of their commission from each property sale.
Child Cancer Foundation provides a network for children with cancer, and their families with the goal to see no child suffering from cancer, without support. ProfessionalsTM have been proud and major supporters of the Foundation since 1995 raising over $3 million. These funds have resulted in the purchase of 5 properties through New Zealand.

Christmas day is almost upon us and everyone is beginning to feel the Christmas spirit. Ironically I have noticed a lapse in the amount Christmas lights on houses, surely this is due to rising energy costs and the result of the tough year that has passed..
The reserve bank has given home owners an early Christmas present by reducing the interest rates by a quarter percent. This will benefit home owners by reducing the average mortgage by about $50 per month. Not to mention bring some buyer confidence back to the market with the assurance that lending rates are becoming more competitive and affordable.
The Aussie dollar may slightly fall as a result of the interest rate cut but this will be seen as a positive for local shop owners as shoppers may choose to buy locally again rather than online as recent trends have shown.

Open House Inspections are becoming ghost towns during December as the public chooses to finish their last minute Christmas shopping over viewing properties. As an alternative we have begun twilight evening open inspections on weeknights. These are proving to be quite a success as we catch buyers on their way home from work.
